ProQuest Submission

1. Who needs to submit their research work to ProQuest?

Students who have completed one of these: thesis, dissertation, Doctor of Ministry project, or Doctor of Missiology project.

                Note: Thesis, dissertation, and projects classified as “sensitive studies” will not be submitted to ProQuest.

2. What are the requirements for ProQuest submission?

      • Final PDF file of the research work
      • Optional supplementary files (e.g., pictures, research data, graphs, etc.)
      • Publishing type
      • Copyright registration
      • Credit card (optional—for Open Access, Physical Copy, Copyright)
      • AIIAS student number
      • E-mail addresses
      • Mailing address

 

3. The student/author must choose a publishing type:

      • Traditional publishing – no platform fee, and the author is eligible for royalties on every purchase of the full text.
      • Open access publishing – a platform fee of $95, with immediate availability of the full text for download by other scholars.

 

4. How do I apply for copyright registration?

An application for copyright is required to complete the ProQuest submission. The applicant just needs to pay a $75 fee, either by cash or charge-to-account (with the Finance Controller’s approval).

 

5. What is I don’t have a credit card?

The Library can facilitate the payment which will be charged to your account.

 

6. How do I submit my research work to ProQuest?

Submission process:

      1. The editor submits the approved final copy to the AIIAS library.
      2. Once received, the librarian sends the ProQuest link to the author.
      3. The student/author creates a ProQuest account but can only upload the research paper after submitting the approval sheet to the AIIAS Records Office.
      4. The version to upload will come from the librarian’s shared drive containing the editor’s final copy.
      5. The librarian will assist with the submission process.
      6. The student must remove any personal information, including the CV, signatures, and appendices containing personal data
      7. Binding of the research work will take place after submission to ProQuest.

 

7. Other Information

    • Required submission to the Library:
      • A fully accomplished repository form
      • Two (2) print copies of the thesis, dissertation, DMin project, or DMiss project
      • One (1) print copy of the MBA, Education, or Public Health project

      • Electronic copy of the thesis, dissertation, DMin project, DMiss project, MBA project, Education project, or Public Health project

    • Library clearance requirements
      • Print and electronic copies of research work
      • Completed ProQuest submission
      • Fully accomplished repository form
      • Cleared library accounts (both the the library counter and IMRC)
