Online Services
- Library Website – Access library resources and services through the library website at library.aiias.edu.
- Online Catalog – Search for library resources, create and share book lists, generate reference lists, renew books online, place books on hold, and access reserved books through the online catalog.
- E-Resources – Access the library’s collection of e-books, online databases, and individual e-journal titles.
- Online Repository – AIIAS theses and dissertations are available at dspace.aiias.edu.
- Video Tutorials – Step-by-step guides on accessing library resources and services are available through video tutorials.
- E-Books for Classroom Use – The library provides additional copies of e-books for books adopted for classroom use.
On-Site Services
- Print Books – Faculty members may borrow up to 30 books for two weeks for personal use, with the option to renew twice.
- Book Reservation – Faculty can reserve books for students’ use in their classes. They can also place books on call for use throughout the term.
- Books for Extension Sites – Faculty members may borrow books for use at extension sites. Prior arrangement with the librarian is required.
- Print Books for Classroom Use – The library will purchase print books needed to support on-campus classes.
- Use of Library Facilities – Faculty can use the viewing room or computer laboratory to hold classes, particularly for research software instruction. They may also book the recording room to prepare teaching modules for online classes.
- Collection Development Participation – Faculty, as subject matter experts, are encouraged to assist the library in building its collection by suggesting titles and making purchases during professional meetings.
Research Support Services
- Articles through Interlibrary Loan – Faculty may request articles or book chapters not available in the library’s collection through interlibrary loan.
- Library Instruction for Research Classes – Librarians can conduct sessions in research classes to teach students about available library resources, search skills and strategies, and resource evaluation.
- Library Seminars & Workshops – Faculty can participate in library seminars and workshops on plagiarism detection software, reference management tools, and other academic applications.
- Data Analysis Software – The library provides access to HyperResearch, SPSS, and AMOS, which are installed on library computers.
- Book or Article Purchase – The library can assist faculty in purchasing resources for research needs.
